Shadow 2 Mag Release on Shadow 1

Hey,

Does anyone with a shadow 2 know if the mag release would work on a SP01 Shadow? And if so, where to buy one, I'm sure it is pretty hard to find but would be a sweet upgrade

I think the Shadow 2 frame is wider so the mag catch from the 2 won't fit on the 1.

I shall rip on of my mine apart and confirm this week if you guys want. I've got pics somewhere of the two beside each other from back in June in Czech when I did that detail strip thing at the CZ booth.

I know this is an old thread but are people changing out the s1 mag release for the s2 unit?
Is this mod ipsc production legal?

Why is that? They are all cz factory parts. Ppl are throwing pre-b disconnectors into their shadows without issues. Or is the difference that the disconnectors aren't easily visible?

Up until the 2 came online the parts in 75s were considered the same across all lines, with the 2, for some reason, that's changed. Possibly because the 2's differ so much in certain spots, I don't know.

That should not matter, according to the rules if its an OFM part from an approved gun its good to go as long as you dont have to modify it to fit:

Original parts and components offered by the OFM as standard equipment, or as an option, for a specific model handgun on the IPSC approved handgun list are permitted, subject to the following:

Modifications to them, other than minor detailing (the removal of burrs and/or adjustments unavoidably required in order to fit replacement OFM parts or components), are prohibited. Other prohibited modifications include those which facilitate faster reloading (e.g. flared, enlarged and/or add-on magwells, etc.), changing the original color and/or finish of a handgun, and/or adding stripes, stippling or other embellishments.

That's the problem, any details we've got, part breakdowns etc, don't show regular Shadow parts on the 2 and vice versa. We need CZ to state that all interchangeable parts are considered OEM parts across the 75 line. Or something.

Again, I dont think that should matter, if both guns are made by CZ, and both guns are on the IPSC approved list, then any parts that can be swapped without modification should be production legal options.
