Shadow 2 mags

I'm certainly happy with my new shadow 2 however the factory magazines. Well they seem down right cheesy. Am I being too picky haha. The over size plastic bases seem down right terrible. I haven't had it to the range yet but I have a feeling that a drop on concrete and that base will be shrapnel. Anyone out there have experience with these?

The supplied Mags are cheap. They work, but you are right, they will probably not stand up to multiple drops on hard or concrete surfaces.Do yourself a favour and replace them with Mec Gar mags.

While I agree they are cheap I've been dropping mine on concrete multiple times per week for 3 years now and have yet to break a base.

The stock mags will hold up better than they look. I've done heavy use both in and out door on the stock mags for a year and a half before they started wearing out and i switched to the mec gars.

That said, the mec gars are better. If cost is not an issue switch up to mec gars.

Ditto, but 5 years for me. Nothing wrong with the factory mags, they are quite durable. If anything the weak point is the top back cut - the square-cut corner can split.

I guess I stand corrected, they looked like junk to me so I replaced mine with mec gar"s.

It's not just the Shadow 2's. I just got a Shadow SP-01 and one of the mags straight from the factory had the spring in backwards so the mag only loaded 9 rounds instead of 10. They also make a weird rattling noise when they're fully loaded.

I picked up a bunch of Mec-Gar mags over the weekend and can't wait to try them out on the range.

Lol, mine do that too. Only when fully loaded.

I much prefer my mec-gar 19 rounders than the factory cz magazines.. I kinda wish I had known how much nicer the mecgars were bfore I bought 4 extra factory magazines. I could have gotten 8 mecgars for that price... Oh well, atleast now I can load to full capacity in Carry Optics.

The mags in this link are listed as 40s&w. Do the 40s&w mags work with 9mm? I see they list a 9mm mec-gar for the shadow but it is out of stock.

How far do those 19
Rounders stick out of the mag well? Any pics?

The mecgar 19s are 17 with +2s and the cz 18 rounders hold 19 too. The sp-01 mags are a bit shorter by a mm or two.
