Shadow 2 Mods for production

IMHO, 13# main spring is lowest that you need for Dominion primers, based on my experience shooting about 8K of them, unless you accept more than 2-5% ignition failure on first strike.
8# recoil spring seems a bit low as even with 10# I had occasional failures to chamber.

we've had guns with triggers barely over 5lbs for like, what, 18 years now? And SA's anywhere from 2lbs down to less than 1.5lbs for just as long too. All with factory springs and parts. so really, this rule is only going to make it cheaper and easier to obtain that for those in some countries. The big change is that you won't have to care where your spring came from and so on. The bigger change is as mentioned above, 3lb for constant action guns, that is a huge difference, whether it will impact the actual showing of guns in the division remains to be seen. I don't think it will though, not in any meaningful way, because if striker guns were soooooo awesome, they'd be dominating the other divisions where you can do anything you want, and outside of Bob Vogel and a couple others, they aren't represented much at all.

True I should of said more DA/SA guns pushing that 5lb boundary and very low SA right now its not the easiest or cheapest to do with factory parts. Were they out there yes but not very many. I do think we will see more average shooters running striker fired guns. But the high level will probably remain pretty unchanged.

I've had very few issues with a 10lb hammer spring and Dominion or CCI or S&B, anytime I've had a light strike it's because the primer wasn't seated deep enough. One of the nice things about loading on a 1050 or a Revo/Evolution press is the ability to set a depth for primers.
I'm using a 9lb recoil only because Robin sent me those instead of 8lbs. He prefers 9lbs but doesn't run a shockbuff, I do. I've never had an issue with returning to battery and I run my guns dirty as all get out. That said, the 9lb hasn't changed my shooting at all, so that 1lb difference is not noticed. but I throw an 11lb in there and the gun is dipping hard when the slide goes forward.
