Shadow Systems MR920

Hi Jeff, I spoke with North Sylva who is the Canadian importer for Shadow Systems and they indicated that the MR920 and DR920 Series with becoming the first half of the year. No exact date just by June. Looking forward to it.

Awesome.Thank you. Can’t wait! For me it’s between the MR920 and the Canik TP9 Elite Combat. Two great choices.)

Just an update on anyone looking at the Shadow Systems MR920 series. I spoke to North Sylva the Canadian Importer and distributer yesterday and they indicated that their order was placed this past Tuesday. Which means the local gun shops will have them in approximately 2 to 3 months. Delays are due to the surge buying in the US.

Take a look on the EE for a nice MR918. The 920 has a slightly updated frame with a "gas pedal" for the supporting Thumb-forward grip, and that is about all for changes. The slides of the 918 and 920 are all identical. So, if you can live without the little edge they added to the front of the Frame for the Supporting Thumb, a 918 will serve you very well. Everything else is exactly the same - trigger, sights, controls, undercuts, Beavertails, etc, etc. Shameless plug, but I have a beautiful MR918 up for sale on the EE right now in "near-new" condition for 25% off of retail for big savings. Just saying....

I believe the MR920 also has more of a beavertail but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am not sure, as I upgraded to the new full-size DR. The MR 918 was too cramped for my large-ish hands, so when the longer grip became available I had to make the switch. I'm not sure what a longer Beavertail would accomplish on a pistol designed primarily for conceaed carry in the USA, as I would expect an extended Beaver-Tail to print that much more against clothing. But hey, what do I know?

Well, one thing that I do know is that I love the DR920. Just like the MR918 that preceeded it, the DR920 is a serious fighting handgun.
