Hi Guys,

I bought a M305 a while back and just started playing with it and I noticed that sometimes the edge on the M305 op handle is very sharp and has actually cut me. Have you guys ran into this, and are their fixes for this problem other than just grinding the rough edge off?

Thanks!

I picked up a new model and found the handle to be a bit sharper on the edge than my older one. I used some small files and broke and rounded the edges on mine. You could put something over it, I suppose. A couple wraps of black hockey tape would probably do the trick, or a short length of electrical shrink tube. Both would be easy to take off if you didn't like it.

Easy fix : trade in your girly hands for a pair of men's hands, add some callouses if you like. Problem solved.

I kid. My Norc had some sharp edges (on the stock especially, ouch!) just take a file or some sandpaper to 'em and touch up with cold blue after.

Yup mine too the same problem with the op rod. Thought about cutting it off and replacing it with a turned aluminum knob tapped and screwd on with an allen bolt roughly the same weight as the cut off piece . But got to thinking that this reciprocating gas system might be weight sensitive and decided not to mess with it, so I just took a file like you guys and had at it . Used a sharpie to cleanup my mess its a nork after all . Wish there were other options .
