Sharp edges on M-305 stock

The top edges on the stock of my M-305 shorty are sharp as hell. Can the synthetic material be sanded or should I use heat to smooth it?

yes, i sanded mine done with a file, remove the receiver/barrel group first though.

Don't tell my wife, but I snagged one of her nail sanding boards from the bathroom drawer and passed it several times over the sharp edges. Hey, no worries , mate!

Finish it with 200 grit and blast it with some Krylon paint. I just did mine in flat green and it looks like it came that nice from the factory.
