A 10-5 that is !:) Got this one last week, V- nice condition, cant wait to give her a go ! Made in 1975-76. Trigger shoe installed.

I don't think she is in very nice conditions, infact she is in excellent conditions. congrats on this beauti.

badbrass, very nice looking M10. In my eyes M10s were police revolvers that came in either thin or heavy barrels that were 4" long. This is mine and yes, the stag grips are real and worth more than the revolver. Enjoy your new toy and give us a range report. Regards, Richard :D

Your model 10 looks just like my old issue S&W from my LEO days. I even had the same target grips that didn't fit my small hands but sure looked good in my holster. Ah...the good old days.
 
Hey P of Pdent were these ever marked (stamped ) R.C.M.P or which city of Police dept. they were issued to? I hear this been done in the USA .
 
None of the guns issued to Edmonton Police Service or most other municipal forces were marked. Mainly old RCMP issue guns were marked. I have an old Webley from our force but the Smith's were either given/sold to another police service. I tried to got my old the S&W but the then chief would have none of it because he was anti gun. I even offerd to have it dewatted but he said it could be still used in an armed robbery...what an absurd comment.
