Hey guys, was out today and found a few nice antlers in the melting snow. New to looking for shed antlers but was fun. Any hints or tips on finding more? So far been concentrating on trails used from food to beds.

found this bone the other weekend. look along the sides of game trails, especially with low hanging branches .

as the snow is melting, check the wide open fields along the trees and out all over basically with Binos, and look for antlers sticking out or just tips poking out.:D

A buddy of mine had a 5 point (typical) shed that scored 95. I would have loved to have shot that buck.

Near any place farmers have been loosing feed to ungulates. I have had ridiculous luck in thickets close to stored feed.

My partner at work is always looking for them .
The farm down the road is a good spot, anround the grain bins.
Lat year he found both sides of a white tail stuck in a bush!

I spend a lot of time walking well used trails, bedding, feeding areas.I also walk fence lines.I find most on trails in the bush.in feilds I look on hill tops and south facing slopes becuase the snow melts there first so that is ussualy were they eat around shedding time.I just got a start to the shed season just a few weeks ago beacause of so much snow in the bush but this year I have found 14 fresh ones 3 old ones and a beaver lower jaw.

I'm sitting at 24 for the year. If this #$%^&$ snow would melt I'm sure there will be more. I try to leave the bedding areas until I'm sure everything has dropped so I don't risk bumping them to a new area. The smaller the area you have to cover, the better. Stick with what the other guys have mentioned and you'll find some more!
