Knowing how touchy you boys are about 7mm threads I will post this here. I couldnt find a 7mm stw so I ordered a Sako 7mm rem mag stainless. However I have purchased a 700 action and stock and will purchase a Gillard barrel and have a gun built in 7mm STW. This deserves a new thread. :-(

For Sheep, most of your shots will be at least 800yds. Weight is deffinately an issue so try to keep your gun under 16 lbs. You don't need an outfitter. Drive to the mountains and head west for 3 days.

Stock for custom 7mm stw.

I have a cheap remington stock which I like the same and feel. Are there reasons why a more expensive stock would be needed eg accuracy, recoil etc?
