Have a problem thought someone might be able to help... I was charged by a grizzly bear this past week an experience i dont want to repeat. Shell jammed, ya that really sucked.

Rifle is a Remington BDl 300 ultra mag, new stock Bannister Hitech.

The problem is that the internal magazine in the rifle will not hold 3 rounds like the factory stock did. I can get all three in but the first on does not feed properly, too much pressure with the spring.When you chamber a round it pops the shell out. Only happens with 3 rounds in the mag.
I thought that maybe there needs to be more clearance for the stainless box ,i took some material off so it slides in easier than it did before but i dont know if i need more or not. I have not changed the spring or anything..Suggestions???

It is common for Ultra Mags and other short mags to have feeding problems.... If it works well with only two in the magazine, live with that... if it was brought to me for repair, I would not attempt to do anything, I would recommend you send it to Remington. It is very easy to make it worse.
 
This is probably due to the fact that the mag spring compresses and runs out of room ie. bottoms out. I've seen this in 7mm Mausers re-chambered to Rem. 280, it is a longer case with a larger shoulder diameter so has a larger stack height and you have to magazine one less cartridge for smooth feeding.
Before you ask, better ballistics, gets rid of throat erosion from military primers or head space problems , the new reamer is relatively cheap, so are the head space gages a lot less than re-barrelling. Get a machinest to make an extension for the reamer and a bolt sleeve guide and it can be done by hand.
 
Put washers between the trigger guard and the stock. Try a 1/8" thick washer and thicker. If this solves your chambering issue, then you know the 'height' of the mag opening on this stock is too short.

Also, look for rub marks on the stock next to the openings in the mag box. Putting divets in the stock to give the shoulders the necessary clearance will allow then to stack properly.

Change the stock, have a trigger guard sitting a bit proud, go back to your orig stock, load 2+1.
