Hello everyone,

today i tried my lee 7.62x38 nagant reloading dies set. the shell holder is too tight for the 7.62 brass i got from tradeex.
on the other hand, i noticed that the brass slips in perfectly in my 9mm luger shell holder.

i heard that some people used a dremmel tool to grind the shellholder for the brass to fit,
but is there a problem if i use the 9mm luger shellholder to reload my 7.62x38 nagant ammo

Not enough info.

Do you mean the Lee #6 (for 9mm Luger) with the Fiocchi 7.62x38 brass? The Lee reloading set is designed for those who use 32-20 brass, which is most people. The #6 doesn't fit my Fiocchi brass - I use the Lyman #15, which is very close but not perfect.

RCBS #19 might be the ticket, and I hear that the Lee #19 can be made to fit with a bit of dremel work.

However, if yours fits, then use it.

"...problem if I use..." Nope. If it works.
RCBS makes(or made) a special order shell holder with the cartridge ID stamped on it. However, like Andy says, it depends on the brass used. Made from .32-20, use an RCBS #1 shell holder.
The Nagant cartridge dimensions are here. The 9mm rim diameter is 5 thou bigger.
