At a teensy little gun store in the Niagara region there is for sale a:

Johnson rifle-very nice shape with a Boyds replacement stock for $2500 ish

and a

Springfield 1903 with bayo and a minty bore for $2000ish

The Johnson really caught my eye mixed in with all those nasty duck/deer rifles

No he doesn't, hes been a gun smith since long before my dad was shooting as a teenager (hes 55 now) so I doubt he will be getting one.

I kinda wish I had few grand at my disposal so i can pluck these guns for my collection...

Too many variables to make an accurate estimate.
A Johnson with a replaced stock at 2500??? If the metal is excellent then buy it and run.
A minty M1903 with bayonet...2000??? Depending on serial number, barrel date, and stock markings. A plain blued bayonet with an unaltered m1905 scabbard is a $500 touch, with an m1910 scabbard easily $350. If the bayonet is a bright finish it alone is a $300 piece, not counting the scabbard. So, less the value of the bayonet and assuming the mint condition with all factors, early dated barrel, script inspectors cartouche, flat top upper hand-gaurd (No sighting groove)...then the gun is a 1500 to 2000 piece in itself!! Not really too far out of line in pricing for a collectible M1903.
