So what am i looking at here? Good or bad?
Pretty normal. The hot gas plasma and burning powder tends to shot peen and erode the first "blast" baffle somewhat over time. No metal on earth is immune to that sort of erosive action.

This pic shows the guts of a Tactical Innovations can which was designed by someone who doesn't know how a K baffle works. In the pic bullet travel is right to left for anyone who is interested.

This is a copy of the original K baffle as designed by Mickey Finn of Qual-a-Tec back in the 80's. Note the slanted port across the middle of each baffle. The slant helps carve gas away from the central passage and into the coaxial chamber formed by the conical spacer.

Most current manufacturers that use the K baffle tend to simplify it a bit for ease of manufacture but the theory of operation is the same.

Suputin Can you post the cross section of the Z JET. I like this design, Even if it's a forward mount. I tried it next to the T8 but still like the Z Jet better. The ones I'm doing are as you said a modified K, But mine extend into the one before it.
