Shilen barrels

Who imports them? Or can get them?

My gunsmith used to get them from Shilen (he put a 280 Shilen on my Ruger#1) .
These days however, with availability and tarifs, I have gone all Canadian, either KS. IBI, or Jury. All are match winning barrel makers and as good as they come IMO.
However I am seriously thinking of a HW Precision for my Anschutz rebarrel.

It doesn't. Just they list a remage style barrel in 8mm rem mag. I haven't seen any Canadian barrel makers list a 8mm bore, or likely to have the reamer.

I got my 284 Shilen match select from Jerry at Mystic, but it seems he's retired now.

Get in touch with JC Custom barrels, they may not list the 8 rm but may set up for you, great Canadian company, worth a call.

I have dealt with JC for my last 6 barrels. He doesn't list a 8mm bore. I will try him again.

This is a preliminary as I am seeing what is out there.

I have bought off of Jerry also. But like said I think he is retired.

Good to know. I also messaged JC again. I would rather not have to buy a reamer

Shilen must be retarded, especially since there are fine dealers in Canada, and they have someone who has been banned from CGN how many times? There are other barrel USA makers who have superior product and reasonable representation in Canada as well as fine Canadian barrel makers.

I had a hard time understanding why his name is banned here, till I inquired about a rifle build on 2occassions. Never again.
