Brownells usually has the permits required. I have bought many various gun parts from them over the years. - dan

Shilen must be retarded, especially since there are fine dealers in Canada, and they have someone who has been banned from CGN how many times? There are other barrel USA makers who have superior product and reasonable representation in Canada as well as fine Canadian barrel makers.

I have dealt with JC for my last 6 barrels. He doesn't list a 8mm bore. I will try him again.

This is a preliminary as I am seeing what is out there.

I have bought off of Jerry also. But like said I think he is retired.

For those that aren't in the, know who are these people? Very annoying when people assume they know what you mean by letters or initials, many do not, spell the companies out or or a least list their full names please.

KS just recently finished up a .35 blank for my son, it's chrome moly .
Bob Jury builds larger calibers as well, but only in stainless, and my son was looking for a chrome moly barrel.

This is the issue. Plus finding a reamer. I am not in a hurry. So I will look around. Maybe a rifle will pop up.

You're right about that. Not only in Canada, but the US.

I tried ordering a couple of 8mm barrels for a couple of 8mm-06 AI builds, and after six months of waiting, cancelled the orders and just ordered from Europe. The barrels were here three weeks after ordering.

The reamer wasn't an issue, and had it custom made by JGS.

I would have liked to have kept that reamer, but it was bought by the fellow wanting the other rifle. I likely wouldn't have built one otherwise.

I ended up selling him the rifle I used the reamer to build for myself. Recoil became quite substantial with 200 grain bullets moving just over 2800fps.
