I recently attached a scope to tight shooting Lee Enfield using an S&K mount and Weaver detachable rings. With all the vertical adjustment in the scope used up, I'm still 10+ inches high at 100 yards. I did a search and found this to be a relatively common problem, the solution to which, is apparently to shim up the front of the scope. I would think that to avoid stress on the scope tube, and problems related to the need to file the mount if the shims are added between mount and the rings, the best bet would to be shim the mount up where it attaches to charge bar...but I'm ready to listen to a voice of experience on this. Any advice greatly appreciated !
