After my recent mucking around with my M14 I need to replace some gas cylinder shims I borrowed from a buddy. Is there any source in Canada or a better US source than Brownells?

Thanks.

Stevo , send me a pm with your address and I will mail you a couple.
Gotta Rem mag sent to me for free and have to pass the favour forward .
I am gone Deer hunting till Friday .

I have them here.... at my place. Just mail me a $5 bill (cheapest way to send payment) and I will mail off 5 of them to ya. I use steel shims that are 8 thou thick. Usually 1 or 2 should do the job, before I recommend pullling off the flash suppressor and doing the 180 degree fix. :D

Cheers,
Barney

Barney,
I'll keep your offer in mind, thank you. I'm going out to the range this afternoon to see if I've finally got my rifle sorted out.

Jerry from Mystic in BC made a clever cutter that Hungry had at one of his clinics. Imagine a slotted heavy steel plate with two holes, and a die. Slide the shim stock into the slot, smack the smaller die to make the centre. Then realign in the larger hole and smack the die again.

I would avoid soft or easy to cut materials like aluminum Coke cans or flexible wires. But without the real thing, do what you can to make do.

DM:

Thanks for the belly laugh. I needed that lovin', my man! :D

Cheers,
Barney

PS: Yes, I have shims for sale, just send me a PM. $ 5 bill for 5 shims mailed to ya! :)
