You must enter your Visa number, name and expiration etc.

Your computer must have Adobe reader for this to work.

Print the parcel label, tape the label to the parcel and bring it to the post office.

There is no 'catch' but there are a couple things to pay attention to:
- parcels must be under 5kg (11lbs), enter 4.9kg
- parcels must be 100cm or shorter, if they measure over 100cm there will be a $10 charge, not a big deal, some guns will cost you $10 to ship

- a signature will cost you $2 if you request one
- enter $100 value, if you wish for it to be insured for the full value you will have to pay for anything over the $100

To summarize:

Can You Just Do It All At The Post Office With Your Venture One Card? I did get a notice in the mail about it, but it has been tossed out in the garbage. I have a parcel wrapped and ready to go, it's under the 5 Kg, but I guess I get burnt on the length, it's 120 cm.

Mailing a firearm with this method requires a signature option for the receiving party.
Don't miss this $2.00 option as if and when CHTF the mailer could SOL.

I'll look into this Venture business. I signed up for 'Flex' delivery and it is TERRIFIC! A quick drivethrough and I dont have to worry about a package being left at the door anymore. A Great service!! ..i almost regret pointing this out because i am sure once they hear that customers like this...they will probably end the program!

I messed about the website for close to an hour... eventually signing in with a new name as it kept telling me my old name was already taken... (of course it was taken, it was me...) eventually I gave up and went to my local post office, paid $13 and mailed it.

One free small parcel isn't worth the hassle.

If you forget your password, there's an option to have them send you an email to change it.
Not really a hassle, and it's one free parcel each Tuesday this month.
It's over $100 of free shipping.

The Flex delivery and this online shipping is actually offered to you to reduce labour costs.
With Flex delivery they don't have to bring it out and attempt delivery to your home.
With the free Online shipping they are training you to do the job yourself.

Exactly ...

It ain't cuz they're feeling guilty about ripping us off .

They are pulling small business customers back in which they may have lost during the work disruption threats, preparing for the rush of holiday parcels. Genius.
There is nothing negative about this in my opinion, the best promotion C.P has ever offered, just smart business.

I sent a gun out yesterday, not such a common occurrence that I can expect another chance to take advantage of this in October. It is some comfort to see that my package wouldn't have qualified anyway because it included a case that was over the length specified.
