that does not make sense, the QD sling swivel itself can only grab so much and the sling swivel componet itself is pretty tight tolerences, once the steel retention balls wear the aluminium enough to become unrelieable it would not matter how thick you made it.... and your bound by the design of the swivel itself on how thick you can make it.

hmmm. don't get me wrong I love the design and the looks, very clean looking and the fact that you take care of both left and right handed shooters is super.... "when" I get a 590 I will probably grab one of those as I want the gun to be usable by everyone as a loaner, especially for women.

Measure one up. most of the quad rails that have attachment points are not as thick as they could be and leave enough material that there is play between the QD sling point and the rail while attached. Its also in the tool used, a 90 degree shoulder on the inside is more likely to shear off then the same area cut with an internal rad.

Company i nthe US called Orion is doign this right now should be out in time for shot show, its a very nice peice, talked at lenght with the owner about the project.
He was blown away about our laws and how we could have 12/14" bbls no problem.
mossy super shorty would be really nice.
