I had some ammo to ship that was in on a deal I did on the forum, so I phoned CanPar. Sure we will ship it, so I say OK when can I drop off?, do you have an account? No so then I can take it to to retail stores in the downtown core. Phoned one and they close at 4. So I decide to go to DHL. Phone the 800 # and get sure we will ship it. So into the Kingston office I go. Guy at the counter says security waybill(more $$$) and I will have to see your PAL. So I said they did not mention this at the 800 # why do you need my PAL. "to make sure you are legal", so I get a little flustered and ask him under what authority he is asking for my PAL. Well we have to make sure you are legit. So I say phone the 800 number and get them to tell me why you need to see my PAL and it has to go under a security way bill. Turns out it goes ground and he does not need to see my PAL, like he would be able to determine if I was legal or not any how. I would like the someone to make a set of rules for shipping and force the carriers to adhere to it. Guy who wanted my PAL left and got someone else to fill in my shipping forms with me.
