hey guys - anyone have any experience with shipping ammo (person to person) within Canada?
I can use (and greatly appreciate) any tips on carriers, packaging and other gotchas you may care to share.
I've tryed all the ones listed, Canpar was easiest, for me.
Wrap it well.
I sent 80 lbs of .22 and .223 to Quebec, wrapped in duct tape, inserted in a plastic case, and wrapped in duct tape again.
Driver threw the parcel off the truck and it busted open.
Buddy in Qc wasn't to pleased, when came home to ammo all over his front step.
Canpar gave a full refund.
Next order I shipped (60 lbs .45 LC) ,I wrapped even better.
Canpar is the best option, for me.
fedex air does DG, but it is $$$. fedex ground will not. That's odd, I had to choose Fed Ex for my powder and primers, from a site sponsor.
lol well maybe they sent it by air, but it still took 6 days.fedex air does DG, but it is $$$. fedex ground will not.
Ya, now that I think about it,it was inconsiderate.Lifting 80 lbs. would pizz off any driver enough to "push" it off the truck. It may be the limit, but going less is appreciated by he handlers. They're all not as young as they used to be.
And for the younger ones, well, don't expect them to be too pleased with having to work.

I've learned my lesson![]()
Contract or not, fedex ground does not allow class 1, FWIWlol well maybe they sent it by air, but it still took 6 days.
I'm not arguing, just saying that I've made multiple purchases from a site sponsor (powder and primers).
And the only shipping option is Fed EX.
So,as someone else stated, maybe they have a contract with Fed EX
