So I’m not here to ask how you’re supposed to do this. I know the big couriers all make this damn near impossible. I personally have a buddy that has sent and received a couple boxes of ammo here and there just throwing it in a box and shipping it Canada post. Don’t be mad at my buddy he is a good guy and would like to do things the proper way but they just make it too difficult.

My buddy is looking at buying about 10 boxes of factory ammo. The seller is fine with going about it this way. I know it is a risk and frowned upon. Again these are all good people here.

How many of you gun nuts have buddies that have done this ? Anyone ever have an issue? Anyone got advice? Would love to hear from others experiences. Is my buddy just really lucky or do you guys all have buddies doing this as well? He has never had much worry with a box or two but losing 10 boxes is a hefty pill to swallow.

Everyone does this!

However the Liberal beakers are going to start crying in 3-2-1-..........:):ROFLMAO:

No one can suggest you do this as it's apparently not allowed......:(

But neither is the lying, cheating, stealing, and murder (MAID), that the corrupt Liberals are currently involved in.

Dag-On, this thread is going to light up light the fourth of July......:) LOL

And so it begins already!:ROFLMAO::oops::ROFLMAO:

Doesn’t UPS ship ammo?
UPS wanted some sort of dangerous goods certification to package and ship ammo. They will carry it for retailers but they want us to jump thru hoops to do it privately. I’ve had ammo delivered by UPS from online retailers. And those “certified dangerous goods shippers” don’t package things any different than I’ve seen from private parties

No matter how You justify it , it is illegal.
So you asking for permission or forgiveness?

I had some bullets mailed to me and the box burst open as it was being sorted. Supposedly the women that saw this happen went into a panic because she thought they were live rounds. Her manager knew what they were, collected them all, package them and contacted me to pick them up and explained what had happeend. He chuckled as he explained on how the women over reacted over nothing but I'm sure if it would have been live rounds the story would have been much different for sure.

Personally , I wouldn't ship live rounds by mail. I know people do it, I just wouldn't.

I have had a well packed and well labelled 150 Weatherby brass get returned to me by the RCMP. I was told I didn't commit a crime, but told I was a F'n idiot' because 'Canada Post staff thought it was live ammo'. This was in fall 2010 right after the Cumbria mass shooting and while Vic Toews was promising to abolish the long gun registry, much to Liberal woes.

They said it was broken open in transit, but I think some Postie tried to steal it for scrap and/or resale as I marked it as 'Heavy : Metal". When they opened it they found what they thought was live 'baby kill'n mass murder'n sniper' ammo (large magnum cases) and panicked.

I did the ATIP on the investigation. They did a complete criminal background and personal history on me.

I think I posted about this and also the time Canada Post almost shipped a Norinco M305B to an address in the USA because of a same street address and town/city name ignoring the bold postal code on the package.

Advise: don't get caught.
