Just wondering,,,,for those who have recently shipped a shotgun that they've sold off what is a typical postal/shipping fee to ship one? I want to ship a 12 ga. from the Vancouver area to Manitoba. Any tips on the best way to do it? Thx!

And after all the above - need to see that your Canada Post "quote" includes their taxes (PST plus GST) and their fuel surcharges - all appears to get added at final screen if you use their SnapShip function, if you are concerned to the final dollar amount of the mailing cost.

I do not actually remember if it was me sending or receiving - but if you dismantle the thing to make it shorter - is a good idea - make sure all the parts get put into the first package - else, get to send the rest in the next parcel to that parcel receiver ...

CP will back charge you if the weight is not correct.

I had created an order for a package recently, my scale read 3lbs but knew it was off, paid for 3lbs online. When I swapped batteries on the scale, it was 3.5lbs. I would have cancelled it and added the proper weight, but they don't make the process easy. The difference being $17.99 for 3lbs and $18.71 for 3.5lbs. Dropped off at the post office and the guy accepted the package, few days later my CC was charged 72 cents. I wasn't mad.

"Canada's Curse" - to be honest, I have paid many hundreds dollars to Canada Post fees over past years. But always had everything that I sent or was sent to me get to its destination. Want to try to follow something mailed in USA - so item mailed to me in Manitoba from Lufkin, Texas on June 12 this year - made it about half way - to Chicago area - by June 25, then no further USPS tracking on it. Amazon.ca claims will be here on July 5 - is like 3 days from now - will see, I guess - nothing that I can do about it. But even if it gets here like Amazon thinks - June 12 until June 25 to get from Texas to Illinois - pretty grim ...

Lucky guy..they lost many of my orders. Insurance is a nightmare..only shipper can claim and get the money. Take 4-6 months to get any resolved.
During that time..the buyer is high and dry..seller having the payment for the goods and on top receive the claim money.
You cannot screw people more than that.
