So we received this notice from Canada Post giving us notice that they will be hosing us even further with fees for oversized things and general shipping rates. Never gets cheaper or easier it seems.

This means all rifle cases or parcels over 1 meter will not incur a surcharge of $18 during off peak times and $25 (!) during peak season. This is of course over and above the normal shipping cost or options like insurance or signature.


Just want to keep y'all informed so there are no surprises.

For a long arm like an 870 or 10/22 that breaks down into a barrel and stock, would shipping those side by side in a box under one metre help?
 
is there a worst run corporation that Canada Post,their service gets worst and worst,but prices keep going up..LOL.and they wonder why they're loosing business,if it wasn't for the rush because of the farce of a pandemic,they would be bankrupt,

Haha. there is actually. It's called the B.C. Ferries Corporation. A few years ago they sought to stem losses due to people not travelling as much (pre-covid) by raising prices....
