I have a question to all of those people who purchase ammo by the case. What is the current going rate to get someting shipped?
I recently purchased the two case deal from marstar and paid 130 bucks for freight to MB that is not accross the country? And it took about 10 days in transit....
What has other had to pay for freight..

heheh... that sounds about right. Ammo isn't really that sweet a deal when ordering unless you are getting tons (from what I read anyway).

With that said I did order a 28" Monitor several years ago from Ontario (for a great deal) and I am in BC... I got my monitor but ended up paying $100 in shipping

2 crates is much heavier than the Monitor which explains the price you paid for the shorter distance.

I beleive that Milarm charges about 50 bucks/crate plus about 15 additional for each additional crate. So that's about 65$ to get two crates from alberta to manitoba.

you may want to check how you were charged, I just got 2000 rounds of ammo shipped from marstar and either marstars or canpars system messed up and charged me by dimension. Ammo is heavy and should not be charged this way, so check the weight you were charged for. I was charged for 160 lbs($105) vs actual weight of 100 lbs($70), marstar refunded me the extra charge.

you can see how you were charged on the box that was shipped to you it will have the weight and *DIM* beside it if you were charge by dimension, if canpar was used.

i cannot see how distance is irrelevant.. tell that to any trucking company. I had a 600 lb tire changer shipped from texas and it cost 600 bucks.. now that is at least something that was 3'x3'x6' tall.. And it made it in 4 days.
