Shipping Updates?

Unsure if this is the correct place to post this:
Completed a small online order over 2 weeks ago and haven't received any updates since.
Have sent a few emails requesting a status update, but again, no response.
When I call, the answering machine basically says that the best way to get a response is via email.
Is this common for S&J?
Its my first purchase with them...
