Shooters arms 1911 military in 9mm ...ejection problem

Most likely the extractor, remove the slide and see if a piece of brass is held in by the extractor. Bet it wiggles around.

also try factory ammo.

I have a Military enhanced in 9mm. When I got it it did something similiar. I disassembled it down completely as it had some kind of thick black grease in it. The extractor was packed with it. I had to use a brass brush for a 17 caliber and lots of Hoppes to get it all out of the extractor hole. After it worked no matter what ammo I used.

Did the gun come with several springs? Does the slide feel like it slides TOO easy ? Had same issue few weeks ago, the spring installed was to light, causing the gun to cycle improperly. Had LOTS of fail to ejects. I did same as you, lubed up the gun, which only made it worse. lol. Once the correct spring installed she worked fine

a good rule of thumb is the ejected brass should fly about ~5-6' away. If it's just dribbling out of the ejection port, then the recoil spring is too strong for the ammo you are using. If it's flying more than 10' away, then you should step up to the next stronger spring - you may be causing some damage to your slide and frame.

Sound to me like weak ammo.

Or you need to bend the extractor in a bit. You tube will show you how to take it off. very easy. To bend it, I stick the base of the extractor back into the fram a half inch, to hold it while I push on it to bend.

I had a similar problem with a 1911 style 9mm. After listening to all the local experts at the range, I adjusted the extractor spring tension and did a bit of polishing and it hasn't missed a beat in years. With the slide removed from the firearm, you need to adjust the extractor (bend) until it will hold a loaded round even with a gentle shake.
The 1911 forums have a wealth of info on this and other problems.

Me thinks the same.

What he said, this is the first thing I would check. Just place the slide muzzle down and slip in the brass it should stay there.
