Shooting a doe with 50bmg

I guess you have to be there and do it yourself. No definitive proof from watching these videos.

so one shooter sucks the eyes out of a doe with a miss? the other shooting the same round from closer range with a longer barrel( higher velocity) cant even knock down a house of cards? come on! the original video shot it through both eye sockets.

You can clearly see a hit in the video... I agree, through the mellon, no miss there.

If this video had any veracity, which it does not, he would have shown all around the doe, including releasing photos or video of the skinning process he mentioned. My best guess is a good shot through one eye and out the other.

Bullets are dangerous and deadly for sure, but they are not supernatural. The energy imparted downrange by a few hundred grains of smokeless powder does not equal the effect of a few pounds of high explosive when it comes to overpressure. Their understanding of physics are wrong at a fundamental level.

You think blowing a deers head clean off is an ethical kill? Might as well used a 20mm on a moose in that case.

The deers head wasn't blown off at all. Did you watch the video? Even if it was "blown off" that would indicate an instant kill, and don't we all want quick deaths for the animals we hunt?

I recall a member here taking a deer with a 50BMG.
He said that because the bullet is built tough, it does not expand rapidly so does not cause a lot of damage.
Certainly not "Blowing the head clean off"
