Shooting at 100yards

Cheap 10x bushnell pocket binos should work ok. I just use a 3-9 scope on my 22 and its easy to see at a 100.

Crappy tire has the cheap 60X spotting scopes on sale every few weeks. I think I got mine for $49? Anyway, plenty good for the ranges I shoot at.

Can you install see thru mounts and then put on a Scope of better quality then move it later when you upgrade a Bushnell 4-12 X 40 AO can be had for around $120 it will work great for all distances..

this right here! Best xmas present I ever got, and I don't know why I ever bothered shooting irons at 100 before, without it.

Does the job, you can leave it in the back of your truck, let it get blown off the bench, or you can catch your kids playing 'fishing' with it; and it doesn't matter!

Thanks Galt. Is a 10x25mm binocular okay? I'm not sure how the specs work out, never had binoculars/monoculars before. Would you recommend a particular model? Which model do you use? Maybe I can look it up.

I have a Tasco 10x25 pair ,i picked up for 10 bucks at Sail a few years back..they work ok.

Why buy binos when you can buy a good scope and see what your shooting?
Buy once cry once!
Learned that lesson the hard way

^Exactly. At those ranges, even an inexpensive....scope will allow you to see .22 bullet holes @ 50 yards. I've yet to see a $50 Monocular worth owning.

On another note, the 10/22 in it's factory, unmodified form...isn't really considered to be an accurate target gun in my experience. However, if you put a cheap scope on it...take the time to feed it a variety of different ammo to see what it likes...I suspect those groups should tighten-up. I don't want to say you can't achieve tight groups with an iron-sighted 10/22 take down..but that's kind of what I'm saying. :) A friend of mine bought one of those take-downs, and put a Leapers "Bug Buster" scope on it. Very small, seemed to suit the rifle. If you want a small, iron-sighted rifle up to the task of what you're trying to achieve, maybe consider a CZ Scout.

As for a rimfire gun for small groups at 100 yards~that's either top-shelf .22 rifles, or, factory .17HMRs.
