Shooting glasses

So if you are thinking about getting them in Canada, try DVC range or Josko at Doubletap sports.

I have a question about eyeware. Not to hijack the thread but what do guys with prescription eyeware do? I have always just worn my glasses while shooting but I assume you need some sort of certified saftey glasses. Am I right?

I wear disposable contacts for shooting. Less FOV issues and you gain peripheral vision over glasses.
Bought from an online retailer and spent under $100 for a couple years supply.

Contemplating Laser Surgery as a few on here have had it with good results.

This allows you to use any safety/shooting glasses.

The Rudy Project web site has too many choices, so I am completely lost. For instance, how do I order prescription lenses with shooting glasses or how I supposed to know what color lenses I should select?

Also, can anyone suggest what to pay attention to and what to tell optometrist when getting prescription for shooting glasses?

Also,Can anyone tell where in GTA we can get this Rudy Project with prescription??

Well, www.e-rudy.com is their electronic store. I go in and select the "Sunglasses" tab, because that's what I'm buying. You can also select the "Tactical/Ballistic" option if you want to get some of those, but the Rydon shooting kit (Rydon is the frame that I like and fits me well) comes with 5 sets of lenses that I wasn't really all that keen on. Still, it comes with a nice case, the Rydon frame and 5 different lenses.

Once you select "Sunglasses" I choose the "All Sunglasses" option, and then look down for Rydon. Those fit me well, but I'm told that Rydon II is for a slightly wider head if that's what you need. The Rydon page has a lot of different frame/lens combinations listed. The frame is not really that big a deal, because you can get different colour arms for the frames. If you scroll down the page, you can find the Rx Insert and more information about it.

I believe Rydon II is for smaller face/head, not wide.

Also, the previous poster must've meant replaceable prescription lenses that can be removed and then put back into the frame.

The site is confusing and I think the best thing one can do is call them and explain what the caller wants to achieve and go from there.

And here is the list of Canadian dealers they list on their site:

Thanks for the heads up! I needed a cheap pair for work as I hate the free ones I get. I thought I would grab a pair of these today. Very comfortable and great quality for the price.

Rydons came to my house in 3 days - WOW, this I call a service.
I took glasses to work and wear them for 7 hours. I can say, they are
very comfy and light.
