Well I just finished a 4 week run, Shot the Edmonton City Championship, then on to Regina for the Sask Provincials, then back to Edmonton for the Alberta Provincials then to Kindersley for an SATA shoot, we were in the midst of a heat wave, most days were low to mid 30's. I have a cold towel that I wear around the back of my neck, lot's of Gatorade zero to replenish electrolytes along with plenty of water and seek out the shade whenever I'm not shooting, the heat wears on a guy after a while.

In total I logged 3,742 km and shot 3,650 rounds including shoot off's, man what a marathon, Monday I gave my guns a good cleaning and put them away I'm not going to look at them for a couple weeks, need some down time, that much travel and shooting in the heat is hard on this old guy, it wears me out, but then again I have a lot of shooting buddies that aren't here to shoot with us anymore so I consider myself lucky, I love the smell of burning gun powder, aromatheropy

Unless I'm missing something, that's about 900 rounds per shoot. Marathon indeed!
Nope your not missing anything, Edmonton was 600 + 50 in a shoot off for me, Sask and Alberta Provincials were 1,000 each on the regular program + another 100 in shoot offs for me, and Kindersley was 900. If you go the Wednesday to provincials they have a doubles marathon of 400 targets so you could add another 800 rounds if you wish, I don't shoot them as it's just to much for an old guy but I know lot's of shooters that do.

You must be exhausted!
I've spent 7 of the last 8 days working in the heat setting up a sporting clays course, tearing it down, setting up another sporting course and shooting... I know I'm ready for a break.
Yup this old guy is wore out hence the reason my guns are getting a 3 week rest and me too I'm headed to the lake for 5 days for some R&R and maybe a little fishing
