Hi there. I've been shooting for about 2 years now just for the enjoyment of hitting the range and having some fun. An afternoon at the range is always a great way to spend the day.
Recently though I was thinking about getting some instruction to perhaps get some good habits ingrained into me and start really improving with my shooting. Since I don't know any instructors, I was wondering if any of you could reccomend someone in the Edmonton area. I figured if anyone would know, it would be someone in here. Thanks again!

To get the response your looking for, I suggest you tell us what rifle your shooting and its caliber. Next it would be good to tell us what range you shoot at so someone can co-ordinate a day with you. Do you reload? Do you have all the accessories like sand bags or a rest? These are just some of the things I would add to your post.

I guess I didn't really give a ton of info in the initial post. I'm looking to improve on shooting my pistol. It's a S&W M&P 45. Thanks tgt40, I'll give them a try.

I'd recommend taking the IPSC Alberta Black Badge Course...next one is at Phoenix Gun Range 4706 - 76 Avenue, Edmonton 780-466-0307...Nov 19 and 20th. This is the introductory course to shoot in IPSC and is a great learning course from awesome guys. Approx 300-500 rds and teaches you fundamentals, as well as drawing from holster, and firearm and IPSC safety.

Phoenix also has a IPSC League night starting Oct 15 at 6pm if you want to check it out...or google IPSC or USPSA for some videos...

This is how I started shooting, and have not regretted it once. It was a very fun weekend with lots of learning!

Thanks again for the responses, I'd love to take the course, however I'm working out of town right now, so to do so I'll have to find one that works for my schedule. I've been interested in trying the black badge course for awhile now. I'll have to do some research and look into it. Thanks
