I just purchased a new Marlin XLR 45-70 and I'll be out this afternoon putting a few down the pipe before hunting tomorrow morning!! Can't wait! It's REP stamped but I must say that the fit and finish is very nice, and I haven't noticed anything shoddy about it yet, but I've yet to shoot it.
So, barring the barrel falling off, or a catastrophic explosion I'll post back after my trip out to the bush tomorrow and let everyone know how it shoots!
