shooting LH sucks

I've done it with Rem 742 and 760's. You have to remove the safety button, the detent plunger and spring. You have to relocate the hole (read-drill) to exactly the opposite side, filling in the existing hole. Turn the safety button around and replace the plunger, spring and pin. Not for the faint of heart, but doable.

i'm left eye -left had dom and NONE of my rifles/pistols/shotguns are l/h- and i VERY SELDOM use a safety- i was taught it was one of those things you can't rely on and use better handling techniques instead- like keeping the finger out of the trigger guard until you intend to shoot- the 7600 is "friendlier" to the southpaw than most - and if you get it reversed, you'll have to put a note with it saying it's been done or have it put back when you sell it- guns tend to be transient things and are best left in factory config

Uncle Mikes used to sell a replacement button. Remove the old one install new one reinstall spring etc. I have one on my old 870. Don't know if still available.
