I know little to shooting mats, but can see that it's well made and even offers a little padding

It has loops for tent pegs to stake it down too. I generally use them to keep it nice and flat and from blowing away.
It is quite nicely padded, could probably have a nap on one.
The Bipod stops are so you can stack your bipod in a repeatable manner.

No complaints at all, it's just about perfect.
Very large, well padded and built to last.
