So if someone is looking for a particular product, whether it's a firearm/optic/whatever, we aren't allowed to make recommendations based on experience or preference if that manufacturer isn't a sponsor?

Despite this thread starting in 2021, and only recently coming back from the dead, I thought the idea was not to promote products by non sponsors. The Big C company makes a bucket of money off many many shooters in this country, without getting free promotion.

Thats in dealer forums or hotlinking to non-sponsor websites. Nothing wrong with discussing non sponsor retailers in an open forum.

The Cabela's mat is great for the money. Really helps keep field stubble from stabbing you

I also use the Cabelas one. No problems. I even lash it to my quad sometimes. Seems durable.

I have a JSA Tactical mat. They made good quality stuff.
