...that, and noting location of poster, chances are if he's not manly enough then there is no hope for any to achieve the Biblical proportions of manliness req'd to shoot without a mat.

Sure glad my elbows are completely and absolutely fubar'd after years of section attacks without elbow pads as proof of my manliness. Yup, I absolutely love the way they constantly ache and sounds of grinding, popping and clicking are entertaining to my family and are fantastic topics of conversation at social gatherings. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Gotta love chest the chest thumpers...

I'm with scallywag on this one.. where do I get those gloves.. and as long as the drinks are cold my caddy can be a 6-7 on the 10 scale, I'm not too fussy..LOL
 
Self inflating air mattress works great, or a yoga matte from a garage sale also works justs fine if your laying on concrete or gravel. they are compact, easy to roll up and cheap. otherwise i just lay in the dirt.
 
Electric heated gloves! They exist!
