Instinctive here as well. So many factors to take into consideration....no time to sit down and do a math equation.
Lead on a running broadside animal is different than if it is running at an angle, etc, etc.
We used to play a game called "Rifleman's Rodeo". [H4831 was a player as well] In that game we shot at running targets.
It is surprising how it helps to practice lots.
I have successfully taken a fair amount of game on the run, some out a ways too.
