I got to go out and shoot my new Tikka 6.5 CM 24" today.
Broke in the barrel last weekend and shot some paper today.
I'll preface this with the fact that I'm a newbie to target shooting. Not qualified to review the rifle properly and really learning how to shoot properly still.
Shot about 30 rounds with only the first 10 shot group being over an inch at 1.198. I got settled in and used to the gun and scope and pulled off some nice groups.
Spent some time cleaning in between and finished off with a 10 shot group, I started with 5 that landed at just a hair under 1/2" then fired 5 more and ended with a 10 shot group at just under 3/4".
All shooting hornady precision hunter 143 ELD-X off a bench.
I'm giddy thinking what this would do with some reloads and a seasoned shooter.
Scope is a nightforce SHV 5.5-20x56 with ATRS rings on factory rail. I lowered the trigger all the way down and it's just over 2lbs.
I've attached pics of the target at 5 and 10 shots.
I'm excited to get out shooting this rig to 1000 yards this year, at least that's my goal.
