shooting on the move

The Matt Burkett video's touch on that, plus a lot more. I think if you really want to improve, you are best to hook up with a Master/GM who is willing to work with you. Nothing like someone correcting what they see wrong right there with you.

google it, I've seen some stuff on the net. we do a fair bit at my S&D nights. talk to Nick King, he knows what he's doing.

I shoot with Nick occasionally and he does give good advice. I am unfortunately one of those unlucky people who has to get as much information as possible, break things down into parts, and analyze things from all angles before I decide which way I'm going to do it. I thought a couple of DVD's might help and I will give google try. Tks

Just picture how you'd run to the front door to pay the pizza guy when you have a full glass of beer in your hand (heel toe..sip...heel toe...sip)

Now just remove the sips

Would I sip off my right foot or my left foot or maybe both feet? Maybe 2 fast sips off the right foot while slowing down ,or maybe one sip at a time off each foot? Should I sip off my heel or my toe? Should I sip while leaning forward or keep my back straight so I can chug faster? Or maybe not worry about anything until a sipping opportunity presents itself............

Seal the top and use a straw.
See? We gamer types think of everything.

it is something that has to be practiced. Matt Burkett dvd's mention his techniques for this, and they work fine. I generally don't do it as much,...but on larger metal at under 15y it works fine.....targets under 10y without penalty targets around them is usually risk free. I find I do it more when running /moving into a position that has a risk free close target,...gun in target double/triple tap, and then look to other targets.......

"risk free" meaning no penalty targets covering that target.....I sometimes don't do as I say and end up drilling the penalty target:redface:, BUT,...it looks cool:cool::D

Todd says 17yds is about the max distance you should engage while moving. anytime you can shoot on the move, you should. it's that simple. standing still eats up time.
