Shooting Snub nosed .357

The most punishing gun I've ever shot was a light weight Centennial style Smith J-frame. It had the fancy Scandium frame, rubber grips (exposed back strap) and was loaded with the 125 grain Federal load. It darned nearly ruined my "day vision" with the flash, and bruised my hand. Yeah, tons of fun, one cylinder was more than enough. I also shot a single shot hunting pistol in .308 - waaaay more comfortable.

I have never shot a j frame center fire, I forget what, but had a 375 that would hurt more than 44, maybe a saa?
Guy I know uses a 45/70 full load H.G lots. I will not try that

Speer has listings for short barrelled revolvers to try and alleviate unburnt powder. They are generally about 2/3 full loads and are very pleasant to shoot. My 3" 629 was a gun you would put a cylinder thru at the end of the day when shooting full loads and leave it at that

I had the pleasure of trying a snub 38 with my dad about a decade ago in the states, really fun to shoot. I love my 4.75" ruger but it doesn't compare to a really short barrel. I sure wish we could get them here...

You can, just have to have white hair,LOL.
BTW there are a couple colt pythons snub nose, and a 29 I think, on Switzer's sale tomorrow
