In Calgary we tried a tactic to get some kind of full auto burst method at the live fire ranges in Wainwright.
A number two was employed to hold the two feet of C2 bipod while wearing his steel helmut. Carefully and underneath the C2 gunner's hand/holding position. Laying on the berm right beside the gunner.
Kind of worked I guess?
The one and only time I seen a military firearm self destruct was a C2 firing blanks -40 temps Fort Wainwright/Fort Richardson Alaska.
