Shooting Varmints in Merritt. BC?

My Cousin has some property up there. Is there any good varmints to had? I know the Trout fishing is the best in the world but is there any ground pigs? It would be great to know as Alberta is pretty far away from Vancouver.

I've heard some good varmint stories out of merritt - usually on farmers land.

I am googling around and it seems the lil' beasts are in Merritt. Now I have to make some local contacts to get me access to fields etc...My cuz is a G.P doctor up there so I am sure he is pretty well contected. That being said any info is much appreciated!
