Fun day at the range, while sighting in at 50yard(after shooting 100yard, it was too windy..), a fly decided to land on the target long enough to have time to aim on it, splat :D.
Rifle is a Feinwerkbau 22lr, 10-50x60 Sightron scope(set at 30X) big thanks to Peter of Hirsch Precision for letting me borrow this rifle.
I was also testing out 3 types of ammo. Standard Match, Rifle Match and Center-X.
Although the wind certainly wasn't on our side, anywhere from zero to 20-30km gusts that would last a couple minutes, and didn't take a lot of time to really set up properly as it was getting late in the day. The only conclusion I could come to at this time was that all 3 ammos have great potential, best group below was shot by my mother with Standard Plus, 5 shots per target 50yards,. I got 1 or 2 groups close to that center one with Rifle Match(but she won), and also got 9rounds in about .5"(outside measurement) with the Center X. Would take more time and better weather or to shoot inside ideally for some time to see a difference in averages I think.

Definitely a fun day, now I want to get myself a precision 22lr similar to this or maybe build one, my old marlin81 is pretty good, but not this good.

Use to do that with popcorn kernals and straws. Flies never had a chance! Always had to let the straw cool down or the popcorn would pop inside the straw.
Anyhow, enough with the younger years.....nice shootin! lol

How did you like the Sightron scope?
I'd love to have something like that....but finding hard to justify spending double what I paid for the rifle on the scope.

I'm fairly new to using scopes and haven't had to chance to try various brands yet in this higher end category. But I opinion is that they offer a great scope at a reasonable price(great overall value)
I have a 8-32x56 on my 260rem.

I think when I find a precision 22lr for myself, I would probably put a fixed 24 or 36X, like the S II-B, it has focal adjustment at the front lens which is supposed to give finer adjustment than a side parallax, and is also a fair bit less expansive.
But I think in the end for scopes its really an individual thing, best is to look thru a few and see what you like.
