I shoot everything both eyes open and I shoot right-handed/left eye dominant. Just another thing that will come with practice.
As a kid I was taught to shoot with both eyes open left and right handed. Today I'm happy about that because it's second nature to me now and even though I'm left eye dominate and I do prefer to shoot left, I'm comfortable either way and I have found that there are certain advantages. Along with better situational awareness with both eyes open compared to having one eye closed I'm not handicapped when I'm sitting in a stand because as opposed to when I'm sitting with someone on my left who shoots right and my field of fire is just straight ahead and to my right, when I'm alone I can shoot just as far to my left using my right eye as I can to my right using my dominate left eye. Being able to shoot right as well as my more natural left has paid off a number of times. I would recommend trying to learn to shoot with both eyes open both left and right.
Also keeping both eyes open all the time makes it a lot easier to shoot using either eye. Being able to shoot either way also helps when as a left shooter I show up at the range and there's no left hand shooting benches available to use because of course most of the benches are for right hand shooters because most people do shoot right.
