"25 can be a fluke. 100 never is"

You have to do it with some regularity for it not to be fluke and to put 4 of them back to back is definitely not fluke.
At our club 25s are pretty much a weekly thing, 50s more like every month or two, and 75 is more like every year or two. I haven't witnessed a 100, at our club, in over 10 years.
 
It wasn't a thing when I was shooting in the late 60's, early 70's. A rather weird custom. The squad should be buying the shooter drinks...

I shot one weekend with a fellow who was over 400 straight with his 20 gauge.
 
I emailed the NSSA and got a email back from the assistant director and a link to a video 📹 from co-host of the Clay target legends youtube channel Steve Ellinger.

But basically he said it was like a badge of honor.
I guess that is why some clubs only do it for 100, a very small percentage of shooters run 100 straight , while 25 is quite common.
