hey all,

i am currently building my first upper and i am shopping for a barrel. i am looking for 10.5" and i noticed that Dlask has one on sale for $250. anybody have experience with their AR barrels? or is there something else i should look at around that price range and is in stock somewhere?

im not sure if the other parts that will be installed on this upper would be critical information but here is a list just in case:
-AXTS Raptor charging handle
-Daniel Defense BCG
-Aero Precision low profile gas block
-DPMS carbine length gas tube
-ALG Defense ergonomic modular rail v3 10"
-Phase5 fatman hex brake

thanks in advance :)

Also searching for a 10.5 barrel.....so I will follow along. Anyone have experience with aero precision barrels?

While a little more expensive (probably double the Dlask sale price), but a quality option is giving ATRS a shout as they can make just about any size AR barrel you might want.

Cheers D

Well that's not right
DARREN?
I was there earlier this week and the shipment was delay at the border.
I would call.
All I can say is that I used them for my last 2 builds and sub moa is very possible I the price is right.
I noticed you bought a barrrl from Joe.
Not a bad choice ENJOY!

i shoot both indoor and outdoor but the flash is part of the reason im putting a brake on it lol

You may enjoy the light show but the concussion blast of a brake on a 10.5 gets old real fast when you go home with a headache after shooting it.
I pretty much only shoot outdoors had a Rainier mini comp on my 14.5 and had no problems, then I swapped it onto my 12 inch and it was obnoxious and uncomfortable to shoot due to the concussion, the novelty of making all that noise and annoying everyone around you will wear off quickly.
I would get a nice linear comp, you still get a nice fireball but the noise is mostly directed downrange.

Sounds like it will be a nice build, be sure to post some pics once you get it together.

i have a Troy Claymore on my 7.5" 7.62x39 and its decent. if i dont end up getting the fatman hex brake then i will probably get an s&j linear comp
