Shopping for a SxS Thread

I could be wrong but it seems to me that a few years ago? a thread got started that attempted to detail all the different ways one might assess a potential purchase of a SxS. Does anyone remember that? I don't even know for sure if it was on CGN. Might have been DoubleGun.

Anyway, any leads on how to find it would be appreciated. I think it should be made a sticky.

I can’t answer your question, Canvasback, but I have my own criteria which is separate from technical considerations. I ask myself, “will this SxS significantly improve my quality of life?”

Of course, the answer is always ‘yes’...

I remember Michael Macintosh describing his process in one of his books. Since moving twice, I've been looking but can I find that book? No-o-o-o, maybe it was in a magazine. But anyway, poor fit usually stops me on older guns; I always want what would be a potentially useful working gun.
