I've decided to get into reloading. After a tonne of research, I feel as if I've barely scratched the surface and it is becoming a bit over-whelming. I am going to purchase a turret style press - likely the Turret Deluxe Reloading Kit from RCBS. It sells locally for $440. The calibres I'll be loading will be 204ruger and 45acp. My question is, what goodies will I need to buy that aren't included in the kit?

Vernier Calipers (For OAL)
Case trimmers
Dies (Obviously)
Components (even more obvious)...

Space & Time....

Optional are tumblers and other case cleaning methods. FL & Neck sizing dies.

Thanks guys. I'll be starting by purchasing a quailty bench and case cleaning equipment. After I've saved enough factory brass I'll pick up the master kit and some dies.

How well does the sifter lid work on vibratory case cleaners? Is it worth buying a dedicated cleaning media seperator?

Buy your brass in bulk from the same lot#. Brass is one of the cheapest components when you figure in. how many times you can load it.
If you are looking at a tumbler. Look at the Lyman Turbo tumblers. They have a hole for the media to pour out when you are finished tumbling. No media seperator required.

Does the RCBS kit include a scale & if not then a bar scale is the answer in addition to what others have advised. You are getting yourself into an interesting hobby as that what reloading it. Powders will be interesting along with your groupings so sometimes a change upon the tip from a fellow reloader or one of the gang here.
