Short .22 bore brush?

Does anyone make a short bore brush for .22?

My Ruger single six is not long enough that a regular brush comes all the way through it. It gets caught like 3/4's of the way through, and then I must yank it backwards which I know is not good for the rifling. If no one makes one, what else can I do?

I use a bore snake.

What's the deal with the snake? I never really used one or know much about them. Do you just run it through and your done? Do you need to apply oil or bore cleaner?

You can get .22 bore brushes that are shorter. The easiest way to find one would be to buy a dedicated cleaning rod for .22 handgun. It will come with the shorter brush. Failing that, you could check out Brownells. www.brownells.com They should have them.
